Where Can I Get a Guitar?
Where Can I Get a Guitar?
You have two basic options for purchasing a guitar. You can buy something local, or you can buy online. The advantage of buying local is you can hold the guitar in your hands and make sure you like it. The advantage of buying online is the wide selection available to you. If you decide to buy online, make sure you use a provider that has a good return policy,, just in case you are unhappy with your purchase.
Should you buy new or used? Personally I love to purchase used guitars. Guitars sounds better the more they are played. But some people prefer that out of the box look and feel you get with a new guitar. The choice is a personal one. No matter which way you go, it is important to make sure your guitar is set up correctly by a professional. Even the best guitar can be unplayable or sound bad if it isn't set up correctly.
Avoid purchasing the cheapest guitar you can find. Some guitars aren't made well and will never sound good or feel good. If you are looking for a good deal, your best bet is to pay a little more and get a guitar that is well made. There are many good new guitars in the $300 price range.
